If you dive locally, dive often, and carry extra kit when the water cools down, the Oceanic Photon Pro is the BCD built to stay calm and controlled under load. Its back-inflation wing delivers up to 42 lbs of lift for steel tanks and heavy weighting, while the QLR4 quick-release system holds up to 20 lbs of ditchable lead plus 10 lbs of trim weight. The Adjustable Positioning System lets you dial in exactly where the shoulders meet the waist, and the stainless TankTamer band makes swapping between steel and aluminum cylinders a ten-second job. Welded seams, 420D nylon, and 304 stainless hardware mean it will still be doing this years from now.
