DAN Diving First Aid (DFA Pro)

The complete DAN package: everything in Basic Life Support plus emergency oxygen, neurological assessment, and hazardous marine life injuries, in one full day. Capped at 4 students, no prerequisites. The one to take if you are only taking one.

Diving First Aid covers the emergencies divers actually face, not just generic ones. You will practice CPR and AED use, bleeding control and splinting, recognizing and treating decompression illness with emergency oxygen, running a field neurological exam, and handling stings, bites, and envenomations from marine life. It meets the first aid requirements for Rescue Diver, Divemaster, and Instructor, and the certification is recognized worldwide.

Prerequisites

• None. Open to divers and non-divers, ages 8 and up

• One full day, about 8 hours, at the shop
