DAN Emergency Oxygen for Diving Injuries
Recognize decompression illness and deliver emergency oxygen correctly: the single most useful intervention between the water and the chamber. Hands-on with real oxygen units, capped at 4 students. Requires a current CPR certification.
Every dive boat carries oxygen. Far fewer divers know how to use it well. This DAN course covers recognizing the signs of decompression illness and near-drowning, choosing the right delivery system, assembling and operating the unit, and keeping oxygen flowing until EMS or a chamber takes over. It is a prerequisite for our Rescue Diver and Divemaster programs and a certification recognized worldwide.
