Depth Finders Scuba was born out of a desire to do things differently. After years in the industry, Brandon Wolters saw firsthand how many dive shops prioritized quick certifications and sales over real training and connection.

Wanting something better, he set out to build a family-run dive center that put people first—where education, safety, and community came before numbers. What started as a vision for better training has grown into a welcoming space for divers of all levels to learn, grow, and feel at home.

Brandon brings over 25 years of diving experience and has certified more than 3,000 divers across the U.S. and Caribbean. From the Virgin Islands to Hawaii, the Bahamas, and Honduras, Brandon’s journey as a NAUl Technical Examiner and

leader on training committees reflects his deep commitment to the dive industry. His goal was simple: to build a dive center that feels more like a community lounge than a traditional shop. A place where divers can connect, learn, and feel truly welcome.

Chris Beeler, our co-owner and certified NAUl dive professional, brings a unique blend of technical dive experience and business expertise. With over 300 dives in iconic locations like Truk Lagoon, Cozumel, and Florida’s deep wrecks, Chris holds certifications in decompression procedures, cave diving, and CCR. He has explored some of the most fascinating dive sites around the world, and is equally passionate about teaching and diving sustainably. Chris has brought over 30 years of entrepreneurial experience to Depth Finders, helping guide the shop’s growth while maintaining a warm, inclusive vibe.

And it doesn’t stop there. Brandon and Chris’s families have always been a huge part of Depth Finders. Whether it’s bringing the kids into the shop or helping with the logistics of events, family is at the core of everything we do.
