NAUI Cavern Diver Course
North Florida's springs are some of the most beautiful diving on the planet, and Cavern is the certification that lets you see them without gambling. Over three days — one in the classroom, two in the springs — you'll learn continuous guideline procedures from the surface, light signals and team positioning, non-silting propulsion, and how to exit in zero visibility by touch, all inside the daylight zone where you can still see the way out. Course Details
- Duration: 3 days (1 classroom + 2 dive days)
- Minimum age: 18
- Class size: Maximum 4 People
- Prerequisites: NAUI Advanced Scuba Diver or equivalent; instructor skill evaluation; optional screening dive
- Certification issued: NAUI Cavern Diver
Course Outline
- Day 1 — classroom: cavern zone limits, hazards, guideline use, conservation; land drills
- Day 2 — springs: reel deployment, light signals, non-silting propulsion, team positioning
- Day 3 — springs: lost line and lost diver drills, zero-vis exits, certification dives
